Part 9
Bracing Course

I’m currently developing the Part 9 Bracing Course for code users who want to understand the deeper logic behind Subsection 9.23.13 — not just the requirements, but the reasoning, structure, and design process that underpin them.

The course is designed to build true lateral-bracing literacy: how the Rules work, how the Codes Compliance Pathways interact, and how to think through a whole-building bracing design in a way that maximizes the benefits of this prescriptive framework.

This material will also form the foundation for future development on this site, including AI-supported guidance and deeper integration with the Part 9 Bracing Calculator and other digital tools.
