Developed by part9bracing.ca

The tools and resources developed by part9bracing.ca, including the Part 9 Bracing Calculator, Course, and Flash Cards, use a consistent set of terminology intended to make Subsection 9.23.13 of the Code easier to understand and navigate.

While some of these terms are defined directly within the Code, many others have been developed to bring greater clarity, structure, and usability to the overall process.

This Glossary represents the ongoing development of this terminology, with the intention is to update and refine the terms over time.

• The BLUE cells represent Inputs that are required from the user in the Part 9 Bracing Calculator,

• The PINK cells are values that are automatically calculated by the tool, but are required for completing each Method of Calculation,

• The vertical banding represents the "level" at which an Input enters a Method of Calculation.
